Privacy Policy

1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:
Johann Thal
THAL REUSE SYSTEMS
Reifträgerweg 27
14129 Berlin
Germany
Phone: +49 (30) 80 58 42 49
E-Mail: legal@thalreuse.systems
Personal data means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
2. Hosting, server logs and WebAnalytics
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When the website is accessed, the hosting infrastructure processes technically necessary access data such as the requested page or file, date and time, referrer, browser, operating system, device type and an IP address anonymised by IONOS.
According to IONOS, WebAnalytics operates without cookies and with immediately anonymised IP addresses. Processing serves delivery, stability, security and statistical analysis and is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. IONOS states that web-hosting visitor data is retained for up to eight weeks. Where IONOS processes data on our behalf, this is based on Art. 28 GDPR.
3. SSL/TLS encryption
The website is delivered over encrypted HTTPS connections. This protects data in transit against unauthorised interception.
4. Local storage of unfinished forms
To reduce loss of input, unfinished form drafts may temporarily be stored in your browser’s local storage. These data initially remain on your device and are not transmitted to us merely because they are stored locally. After successful submission, the corresponding draft is generally removed.
This function is used only for the form you started, not for advertising, tracking or profiling.
5. Contact and inquiry forms
When you use contact, requirement, object, seller, viewing, partner or callback forms, we process the information you provide in order to handle your inquiry. This may include contact details, project or asset location, intended use, technical requirements, object and source references, timing, permit status, dismantling, logistics and site information, and free-text messages.
We also process technical metadata such as language, form version, timestamps, landing URL, referrer and supplied object, source or campaign references. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the inquiry relates to a contract and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other legitimate business inquiries.
6. Abuse and spam protection
To protect the forms, we use technical measures such as honeypot fields, minimum submission times and server-side rate limiting. The technical IP address is not stored in the inquiry record for this purpose; it is only converted temporarily into a pseudonymised verification value. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
7. File uploads, photos and documents
Photos, plans, structural calculations, permits or other documents that you upload voluntarily are assigned to the relevant inquiry and stored on the webspace. Raw files are not automatically forwarded as email attachments.
Original files supplied by sellers are initially treated as for internal review only. They are not shared with prospects or published merely because they were submitted. Confidentiality, anonymisation, redaction and permissions are handled separately.
8. Requirement profiles, matching and optional follow-up offers
For requirement profiles, technical requirements may be stored in structured form and matched against assets identified later. Consent to receive suitable follow-up offers is recorded separately from processing the specific inquiry and can be withdrawn at any time for the future.
9. Email communication
Form submissions are routed to functional THAL REUSE SYSTEMS email addresses. Confirmation and business emails may be sent through IONOS mail services. Structured inquiry blocks and a vCard may be generated for internal processing. Depending on the matter, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
10. Planned AI telephone assistant
An IONOS AI telephone assistant is planned for future use but is not currently active. Once activated, it is intended to receive telephone inquiries, record callback requests and structure voluntarily provided contact and project information.
According to current IONOS information, calls are not stored as audio files; speech is processed during the call and a text summary with metadata is then provided. Before activation, the contractual setup, data-processing agreement and this privacy policy will be reviewed against the actual configuration.
11. Voluntary communication via WhatsApp
If you use the WhatsApp link, you leave our website and use WhatsApp. For users in the European Region, the provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. WhatsApp processes data under its own privacy rules and international data transfers may occur.
WhatsApp is not required to use our forms. In particular, sellers may send photos and documents after submitting an inquiry, using the TRS reference. Such files are initially treated as for internal review only.
The website is technically prepared for a future WhatsApp Business Platform connection; the API is not currently active. Before activation, the privacy information will be aligned with the actual Meta/WhatsApp configuration.
12. Cookies, tracking and external content
The current version of THAL REUSE SYSTEMS does not use its own marketing or tracking cookies and does not embed external analytics, map, video or webfont services. If consent-requiring services are added later, an appropriate consent mechanism will be implemented before activation.
13. Recipients and processors
Personal data is accessible only to persons who need it to handle the relevant matter. Technical service providers may process data on our behalf. Data is shared with owners, sellers, buyers, engineers or project partners only where necessary for the requested project initiation and legally permissible.
14. International data transfers
According to IONOS, ordinary visits to the IONOS-hosted website do not involve transfers of web-hosting visitor data to third countries. Voluntary use of external communication services such as WhatsApp may be subject to their own international-transfer rules.
15. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by statutory retention duties, legitimate documentation interests or legal claims. Processing based on consent generally ends when consent is withdrawn or the purpose ceases, unless legal grounds require further retention.
16. Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal of consent and objection to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact the privacy address stated above.
17. Right to complain
Under Art. 77 GDPR you may lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. Our competent authority includes the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany, email: mailbox@datenschutz-berlin.de.
18. Automated decisions
We do not use solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Technical matching or prioritisation may support internal work, but business decisions are not made exclusively by automated means.
19. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when the website, services used or legal framework changes. The version published on this website is the applicable version.
Note: This privacy policy reflects the current technical setup of thalreuse.systems. Before the current “noindex” status is removed, the wording should be reviewed finally by the appointed IT-law counsel.
